The Sleep Institute (TSI) is a physician-led, multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to providing fully integrated, patient-centered care for sleep health. Our mission is to ensure the right treatment reaches the right patient at the right time—while fostering exceptional outcomes and seamless collaboration with primary care providers.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and professional Referral Coordinator with an active LPN designation to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines clinical expertise with high-level client service and administrative excellence, making it ideal for a healthcare professional with a passion for both patient care and organizational efficiency. TSI is rapidly growing and the successful candidate will have a bright path for future advancement and promotion within the organization. No sleep health experience required, but we are requesting that only candidates with an active LPN license apply. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Referral Management & Medical Transcription (Primary Focus)

  • Accurately enter and process a high volume of incoming referrals, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all patient and provider information.
  • Review referral documentation and follow up on missing or unclear details as required.
  • Transcribe medical letters, consultation notes, and physician correspondence with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ensure all documentation is properly formatted, filed, and routed within the EMR system.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of patient records.

Client Coordination & Scheduling

  • Provide clear and accurate information on clinic services and processes.
  • Coordinate consultations, testing and follow-ups to support patient flow and adherence to care plans using the EMR system.
  • Manage high-volume scheduling with strong attention to detail.

Clinical & Administrative Coordination

  • Use LPN clinical knowledge to support referral triage and escalate urgent concerns when appropriate.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, referring providers, and the care team.
  • Ensure timely communication and documentation flow across all parties.
  • Maintain organized electronic records, including referrals and physician correspondence.
  • Support ongoing improvements to administrative workflows and clinic efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) designation required.
  • 3–5 years of relevant clinical and/or medical administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with high-volume referral processing and/or medical transcription.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team that values compassion, collaboration, and innovation in healthcare.
  • Make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives through personalized sleep care.
  • Work in a modern, professionally supportive clinic environment with opportunities for growth.
