Overview
Our busy, patient-focused dental clinic is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Sterilization Technician to join our team full-time! We're seeking someone who is upbeat, proactive, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. If you take pride in staying organized, supporting your team, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
  • Operate sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, ensuring proper functioning and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory of supplies.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients.
  • Collaborate with dental assistants and receptionists to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assist in the training of new staff on sterilization procedures and safety protocols.
  • Stay updated on best practices in sterilization techniques and medical terminology.
  • Reprocess and fold clean surgical gowns.

Skills

  • Proficiency in ClearDent or similar dental software is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Experience as a dental receptionist or in dental assisting is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and patients.
