As part of the Joint Department of Medical Imaging, Mount Sinai Hospital’s Medical Imaging team collaborates with University Health Network and Women’s College Hospital to deliver integrated, high-quality diagnostic services. By pooling our resources and expertise, our department can offer a broader range of specialized services and advanced technologies. Our environment combines advanced imaging technology with a strong academic and research presence, offering opportunities to contribute to teaching, innovation, and clinical excellence. An international leader in medical imaging, we support a wide range of clinical areas, with a steady volume of inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department cases, including complex oncology and surgical follow-ups. The department features state-of-the-art technology and collaborative team that values precision, accountability, and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Job Requirements

The details below outline what you’ll need for each specialty, helping you confirm which roles you’re currently eligible to pursue:
For all positions:
- Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) within the specialty you wish to practice in
- Completion of a Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
- Completion of an accredited degree/post diploma Radiological Technology program, or recognized equivalent
- Contrast injection course (preferred)
- IV insertion course (preferred)
- Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and 2 course from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Completion of over 15 hours of continuing education in Mammography within the past 3 years and a commitment to ongoing continuing education that meets CAR and hospital requirements (preferred)
- Previous Breast Imaging working experience, demonstrating knowledge and experience in digital radiography (preferred)
- Completion of an accredited degree/diploma in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent
- Certificate of registration in the specialty of Nuclear Medicine from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Completion of an accredited degree/diploma in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Cross sectional anatomy course
- Contrast injection course
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasonography degree/post diploma program
- Registered with Sonography Canada with CRGS designation
- Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification (preferred)
