Full job description

I am looking to hire a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to work in a OB/GYNE Clinic. The position is one where you are working in a team with one doctor at a time serving Obstetrical and Gynecologic patients.

As the LPN you would be a critical part of our team and spend a lot of time engaging with patients.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Initial nursing assessment of patients
  • Conducting patient histories, update demographics and medical documentation
  • Performing certain diagnostic Interventions
  • Initiating forms for the patient’s visit
  • Setting up minor surgical procedures, IUD insertions etc.
  • Answer patient’s telephone calls and address patient concerns, and some booking of future appointments
  • Reviewing referral letters
  • Discussing health issues (particularly OB related questions) over the phone with patients
  • Keep examination areas clean, orderly, and stocked with supplies

To be successful in this role the required Qualifications are:

  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse Program
  • 2 years minimum experience in a medical clinic
  • Current CPR and First Aid
  • Excellent verbal and Written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Connect Care and an EMR
  • References on request

Additional skills that are prioritized / beneficial but not required:

  • proficiency in an additional language (ex. Arabic, Tigrinya, French, or others)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$27.00 per hour
