Your tasks at a glance
  • You prepare patients for surgery.
  • You provide excellent patient care in the recovery area.
  • You maintain the crash cart and emergency supplies.
  • You assist the surgeon and the surgical team with patient flow.
  • You update medical records in our EMR systems.
  • You support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization’s overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks.
A clear view of your assets
  • You have completed an accredited nursing education program and are registered with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick.
  • You have a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Your experience in the field of ophthalmology and/or optometry is considered an asset.
  • Your work experience in intensive care and/or an operating room is considered an asset.
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment and when working in a team.
  • You are meticulous, precise, rigorous, patient and focused, no detail can escape you.
  • You have excellent communication skills, you speak English et français également (advanced intermediate level of French required due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with our French-speaking patients).
  • Schedule: You are available to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 am until the end of the surgery schedule.
