Private Tutor

We are seeking dedicated tutors to provide personalized one-on-one support in all core subjects for K-12 students. This part-time contract position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Position Details:

  • Part-Time Contract: Available for the summer, and into the 2026/27 school year.
  • Location: Primarily in-person tutoring in Lethbridge, Although there may be some opportunity for online tutoring, applicants MUST reside in Lethbridge or Southern Alberta.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-home tutoring (in pre-screened environments) or online sessions as required.
  • Commit to consistent, weekly tutoring appointments with students and/or their parents.
  • Submit session reports for each student.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of at least one year of post-secondary education (two years preferred). A teaching certificate or retired teacher status is an asset, but not required.
  • Experience in tutoring subjects such as Math, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, Language Arts, Social Studies, French, Spanish, reading, literacy, and writing.
  • A strong understanding of the Alberta K-12 School Curriculum.
  • Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, with the ability to travel to students' homes in and around Lethbridge.
  • Willingness to undergo a criminal background check (background checks from other agencies are accepted).
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada.

Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week
