Toothworks Calgary is looking for a friendly, reliable, and team-oriented Part-Time Sterilization Assistant to join our busy dental practice in Royal Oak.

Previous dental sterilization experience is preferred, but not required. We’re also happy to train the right person! What matters most to us is a great attitude, willingness to learn, attention to detail, and someone who can be counted on to get the job done.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll play an important behind-the-scenes role in keeping our clinic running smoothly and our clinical team supported.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and reprocessing dental instruments
  • Learning to operate sterilization equipment and follow proper infection prevention & control procedures
  • Completing sterilization logs and required documentation
  • Preparing instruments, cassettes, and handpieces for use
  • Assembling procedure trays and instrument kits
  • Disinfecting and resetting operatories between patients
  • Helping with room setup for dentists and hygienists
  • Keeping sterilization and clinical areas clean, organized, and stocked
  • Supporting the clinical team wherever needed

New to sterilization? No problem! We’re willing to train the right candidate and teach you the ins and outs of the role.

We’re looking for someone who is:

Dental experience is an asset, but not required.
Sterilization experience is preferred but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate!

Your Schedule

We’re looking for someone who enjoys a consistent and predictable schedule, with opportunities to pick up additional hours for vacation coverage and busy periods.

Regular Schedule:

  • Thursday: 8:15 AM – 4:15 PM
  • Friday: 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM
  • Two Saturdays per month: 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM (never on long weekends & schedule provided a year in advance)
