Job Title: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Job Type: Part-time / Contract
Location: Mississauga, ON (In-home / School / Daycare Settings)

Job Summary:
Speech For All is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide high-quality, client-centered services to children and families with communication needs. This role involves delivering therapy sessions in a variety of settings, including clients’ homes, schools, and daycare centers across Mississauga.

The ideal candidate is engaging, flexible, and passionate about helping children build strong communication skills in their everyday environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a registered Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Deliver engaging therapy sessions in-home, school, and daycare settings
  • Support children with a range of communication needs (speech, language, social communication, etc.)
  • Track and document client progress accurately and consistently
  • Prepare and adapt therapy materials based on client needs
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support carryover of skills

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree from a recognized Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) programExperience working with children with communication challenges is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while following treatment plans
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)
  • Professional liability insurance (minimum $1M–$2M coverage) or willingness to obtain
