Schedule Options:

General Requirements:

• Minimum of 18 months of relevant work experience, including at least 1 year of experience within the last 18 months in the candidate's professional designation
• Minimum of 24 months of relevant work experience required for First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) assignments
• Current immunization record in accordance with public health and workplace requirements
• Valid driver’s license may be required for positions involving travel or community-based work
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent CPR certification required
• Mandatory requirement: Indigenous cultural safety and Humility training.

These roles are critical to ensuring timely access to diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical care in both urban and rural settings. Successful candidates will work in collaborative interdisciplinary environments and contribute to safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.

1. Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT)

Rate: $40 per hour

Summary:

Responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical and diagnostic medical equipment in accordance with infection prevention protocols and CSA standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate decontamination and sterilization equipment
• Inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments and trays
• Ensure accurate documentation and instrument tracking
• Adhere to infection control and reprocessing guidelines

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a recognized Medical Device Reprocessing program
• CSA certification in Medical Device Reprocessing (or eligibility)
• Previous experience in acute or surgical settings is considered an asset

2. Ultrasound Technologist

Rate: $63 per hour

Job Summary
We are currently seeking experienced Ultrasound Technologists to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services across healthcare facilities in British Columbia. In this role, you will perform a wide range of sonographic examinations—including general, obstetrical, abdominal, and vascular ultrasound—to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, Ultrasound Technologists are responsible for acquiring and analyzing diagnostic images, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice. This role is vital to supporting timely, accurate, and patient-focused care in alignment with provincial healthcare quality and safety goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general, obstetrical, gynecological, abdominal, and vascular ultrasound examinations in accordance with clinical protocols and physician referrals.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists or referring physicians.
• Assess image quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support patient care planning.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain exams clearly, and ensure physical and emotional comfort throughout the process.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including technical data and observations.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in quality assurance, continuing education, and departmental improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Certification with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS
• Eligible for registration with the College of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Health Professionals of BC (CDTHP)

3. Echocardiography Technologist

Rate: $63 per hour

We are seeking qualified Echocardiography Technologists to join our cardiac diagnostics teams across British Columbia. This role involves performing specialized cardiac ultrasound imaging (echocardiography) to assess heart structure and function in patients of all ages. Working within a multidisciplinary team and under the direction of a cardiologist, the Echocardiography Technologist acquires, analyzes, and documents high-quality diagnostic images to support the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions. 4. MRI Technologist

Key Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to obtain high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with physician referrals and imaging protocols.
• Review patient history and clinical information to determine appropriate imaging techniques and sequences.
• Position patients correctly and ensure their safety, comfort, and understanding throughout the imaging procedure.
• Monitor patients during scans to identify and respond to any adverse reactions or safety concerns.
• Apply knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology to evaluate image quality and make real-time adjustments.
• Follow all MRI safety regulations, including screening for contraindications (e.g., implants, devices, metal).
• Document procedures accurately and maintain detailed patient records.

5. Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Rate: $45 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join diagnostic imaging teams across British Columbia. The successful candidate will perform a range of nuclear medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals to support diagnostic, therapeutic, and research services. This role plays a critical part in the accurate detection and monitoring of disease, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, calibrate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with provincial and federal regulations
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures (e.g., bone scans, cardiac scans, PET/CT) using gamma cameras, PET scanners, and hybrid imaging systems
• Monitor patients during and after procedures to assess safety and identify adverse reactions
• Ensure the accurate acquisition, processing, and analysis of diagnostic images
• Maintain patient records, imaging documentation, and radiopharmaceutical inventory logs
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging and radiation monitoring equipment

Qualifications:

• Education: Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Certification: Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent
• Licensed or eligible for licensure with the British Columbia Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (BCAMRT)
• Knowledge of radiopharmaceutical handling, quality assurance, and nuclear imaging protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in diverse clinical setting
• Experience working in rural and Indigenous health settings is an asset

6. CT Technologist

Rate:$63 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking qualified CT Technologists to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services across acute care and outpatient settings in British Columbia. In this role, you will perform computed tomography (CT) procedures to support timely and accurate clinical diagnoses. CT Technologists are responsible for operating advanced imaging equipment, administering contrast media when required, and ensuring patient safety through strict adherence to radiation protection standards. This position plays a vital role in delivering patient-centered care while meeting provincial imaging quality and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners and perform routine and specialized procedures, including those requiring the use of contrast media.
• Ensure image quality through appropriate positioning, protocol selection, and adherence to technical standards.
• Monitor patients throughout the exam, assess for adverse reactions, and provide post-procedure care instructions.
• Follow all radiation safety guidelines and infection prevention protocols to protect patients and staff.
• Accurately document procedures and maintain detailed imaging records in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to facilitate accurate diagnoses and coordinated care.
• Participate in quality control, equipment maintenance, and continuing education activities.

Qualifications:

• Certification in Radiography and CT through CAMRT
• Current or eligible CDTHP registration
• Venipuncture and IV certification required
