Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer

Location: Calgary, AB

Job Types:Permanent Full Time

Position Overview:

We are currently accepting applications for a permanent full time Sonographer in our South Calgary clinics. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who value the benefits of working in a team-based environment who are eager to expand their skills and go above and beyond for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conducts patient clinical assessment and performs the sonography examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures.

- Reviews patient medical history and supporting clinical information.

- Ensures the sonography examination order is complete and contains relevant clinical information.

- Clearly communicates the examination process to the patient.

- Reviews examination images, synthesizes sonography examination results, and prepares the preliminary findings.

- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws and facility policies, and procedures. Adheres to applicable professional and ethical standards.

- Work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications:

- Must be Sonography Canada registered

- Desire lifelong learning to enhance experience and skills

- Promote and support effective communication and teamwork

- Strive for excellence with high level of quality and integrity

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Willingness to learn and train.

Licence/Certification:

- Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program or completion of certification in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited program.

- Active with Sonography Canada and/or Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

Salary commensurate with experience.
