Medical Receptionist for Family Doctor’s Office
North Weston Healthcare Inc.

Busy doctor’s office located near Weston /Langstaff Road in Woodbridge

Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year experience working as a medical receptionist

Italian speaking a definite asset

Preference will be given to candidates residing within a 30-minute radius of Woodbridge

Job Type: Permanent Full Time

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for greeting and calling patients, booking appointments, escorting patients to exam rooms
  • Learning and supporting colleagues with tasks using an Avaros based medical software
  • Preparing patient files and handling confidential patient information
  • Work in collaboration with office staff in maintaining up to date patient charts, maintaining exam rooms, supplies
  • Willing to utilize up to date technology such as headphones / modernized phone system
  • Other office administrative duties as required such as preparing envelopes and labels, managing courier pick-ups, managing daily mail

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience with Avaros based electronic medical record system is an asset
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with simultaneous demands
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team based environment with an ability to collaborate with others
  • Must have good computer skills/Comfortable with use of Electronic Medical Records
  • Excellent phone and organizational skills
  • Experience with a Family Practice health setting an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment with an ability to multitask
  • Italian Speaking a definite asset
  • Regular hours Monday to Thursday 9-5 Fridays 9-1
