Full job description

Urban Medical Centre is a rapidly growing family practice in Mississauga. We are looking for a full-time medical receptionist who demonstrates superior organizational skills, accuracy, attention to detail, strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal and computer skills with the ability to balance multiple work demands. Some hours may be at a second medical clinic, also located in Mississauga.

Candidates must have at least 2 years experience as a medical receptionist and excellent communication skills. Accuro EMR knowledge required. Phlebotomy training would be an asset.

Competitive pay for qualified candidate

Requirements:

· Available to work weekdays and Saturday. Approximately 36 to 40 hours per week.

· Knowledge of Accuro Electronic Medical Records is required.

· Medical terminology knowledge.

· Ability to perform lab technician / phlebotomist duties an asset.

· Strong drive and proven track record for patient satisfaction.

· Consistent attention to detail, organization and able to be proactive in anticipating client and office needs.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· College diploma or degree in Office Administration or equivalent an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems, handling inquiries and appointment scheduling.
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records accurately.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient office operations.
  • Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Organize patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
