Full job description

Hutchison Heart is a cardiology practice led by Dr. Stuart Hutchison. We are urgently hiring an experienced Medical Office Assistant to support daily clinic operations and provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and manage check‑in
  • Update patient information in EMR (Ava experience an asset)
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records
  • Process referrals and incoming faxes
  • Answer and triage phone calls; document all interactions
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness
  • Assist with BP readings, ECGs, and diagnostic requisitions
  • Chart preparation, medication updates, and billing support

Requirements

  • 1+ year medical office experience
  • MOA certification or equivalent training
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with EMR systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology; cardiology experience an asset
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • 8‑hour shift (8:30–5:00 or 9:00–5:30)
  • 30‑minute lunch break

Pay: $21.50-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
