Overview

We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations within our medical or dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical and dental terminology, and experience managing electronic medical records. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and customer service are paramount.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner at the front desk
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
  • Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and payments
  • Prepare and organize patient charts, documents, and correspondence for provider review
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and follow-up appointments efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management within the office

Skills

  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Epic or Dentrix
  • Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology and Dental Terminology
  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a Medical Office setting is highly preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and clarity
  • Office experience including front desk responsibilities, administrative support, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail
