Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our busy medical clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional support to both patients and healthcare professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, experience with electronic medical records, and proficiency in managing front desk operations. Most importantly, the candidate should fully embrace our patient-centric approach to service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the office.
  • Phlebotomy Experience / Credentials is an asset but not necessary.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems such as OSCAR.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Process patient information efficiently while adhering to confidentiality standards.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
  • Support billing and insurance verification processes as needed.
  • Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
  • Experience
  • Minimum 2 years Previous experience in a medical office setting is a must, with a strong understanding of medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (Oscar) is highly desirable.
  • Proven administrative experience with an emphasis on front desk operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
