Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Office Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing administrative tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of medical office operations, proficiency with electronic medical records, and excellent communication skills. Experience with office management software such as EMR and highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment dedicated to patient care and operational excellence.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner at the front desk
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
  • Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and copays
  • Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-ups efficiently
  • Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed
  • Handle correspondence, mail, and other administrative duties to ensure smooth office operations
  • Ensure the reception area remains clean, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a medical office assistant preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as EMR
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
