Job Responsibilities/Overview:

Welcome and Assist Patients: Greet patients and visitors professionally, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive first impression of the practice.

Manage Appointments: Schedule patient appointments efficiently, manage the appointments office schedule, and send reminders to ensure timely attendance. This includes pre-confirming & confirming appointments.

Handle Communications: Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring all communication is handled promptly.

Insurance Verification and Claims: Verify patients’ insurance coverage, process insurance claims accurately, and assist with any insurance-related inquiries.

Record Management: Maintain and update electronic and paper medical records ensuring all patient information is current and confidential.

Billing and Payments: Assist with billing processes, handle payment transactions, and address any payment-related questions from patients.

Coordinate Referrals: Facilitate patient referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed, ensuring smooth transitions and follow-up.

Reception Area Maintenance: Keep the reception area clean, organized, and inviting, creating a comfortable environment for patients and visitors.

Customer Service Excellence: Provide a high level of customer service by addressing patient needs and concerns effectively, contributing to a positive overall experience at the practice.

Administrative Support: Assist with other administrative tasks as required to support the efficient operation of the office, including handling correspondence and maintaining office supplies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines.
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Possess a professional and positive attitude.
  • Portuguese speaking is an asset.
  • Previous experience is an asset, but we will train the right candidate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
