Overview
Our well-established dental practice is looking for an energetic full-time Dental Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for building strong patient relationships and contributing to the ongoing oral health of their community. This is a full-time position with requirment to work on each Saturday (office is closed on Wednesday & Sunday), and we are looking for a team member who can commit for long-term and grow with us.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice in a courteous manner and answering any inquires they may have.
  • Scheduling, rescheduling, Confirming or handling Cancelled appointments as needed.
  • Verify billing procedures, submit / co-ordinate insurance claims and pre-determinations, collect payments.
  • Effectively manage the recall system and accurately maintain the patient database.
  • Request dental insurance breakdowns.
  • Coordinate lab cases and process patient referral letters.
  • Performing daily general office tasks such as processing mail, scanning, ordering sundries, keeping the office clean and organized, etc.
  • Always promote a professional image of the practice and be knowledgeable about the services the practice provides.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Friendly telephone etiquette.
  • Certification in office administration, medical administration, or related fields is an asset.
  • Previous experience working in a dental office.
  • Knowledge of dental practice management software Open dental is an asset. Training will be provided, if needed.
  • Must be a quick learner with good computer skills as we are a fully digital practice.
  • Ability to multitask and continually change priorities of tasks
  • Knowledge of dental terminology.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
