Position Overview

Care2Talk Health is seeking a professional, compassionate, and highly organized Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to support our growing healthcare team. The MOA plays a key role in delivering exceptional patient experiences while supporting the daily operations of both virtual and in-person healthcare services.

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a patient-first mindset.

Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Front Desk Duties

  • Welcome and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments for healthcare providers
  • Support virtual and in-person patient check-ins and onboarding
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with healthcare regulations

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and efficiently
  • Upload and organize patient documents, referrals, and forms
  • Process billing, payments, and insurance documentation when required
  • Coordinate referrals, requisitions, and follow-up appointments
  • Assist providers with administrative and clinical workflow support

Clinic Operations

  • Ensure clinic areas remain organized, clean, and professional
  • Support inventory management and ordering of office supplies
  • Assist with daily clinic opening and closing procedures
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and leadership staff
  • Help maintain efficient patient flow and provider schedules

Qualifications

  • Medical Office Assistant certificate or equivalent experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a medical clinic, healthcare office, or customer service environment preferred
  • Experience using EMRs and medical scheduling software is considered an asset
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude

HOURS OF WORK
