Our research team supports industry-sponsored and academic clinical trials, with a particular focus on gastroenterology and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). We are committed to delivering high-quality, participant-focused research while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance, data integrity, and operational excellence. The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and conduct of clinical research studies, working closely with Principal Investigators, study teams, participants, sponsors, CROs, and internal clinical and administrative teams. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly and where attention to detail, sound judgment, and effective communication are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of assigned clinical trials in accordance with study protocols, GCP, applicable regulations, and LDDI policies and procedures.
  • Support study start-up activities, including feasibility, site selection, document collection, regulatory submissions, and study activation.
  • Coordinate participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, study visits, and follow-up activities.
  • Review study protocols and develop a strong understanding of study-specific requirements and procedures.
  • Coordinate and document study-related procedures, assessments, laboratory collections, imaging, endoscopy, and other protocol-required activities.
  • Maintain accurate participant and study records throughout the life of the study.
  • Identify, document, and escalate protocol deviations, adverse events, and other study issues as required.
  • Support study close-out activities and ensure all outstanding requirements are appropriately addressed.
  • Communicate with potential and enrolled participants in a professional, respectful, and compassionate manner.
  • Conduct or assist with informed consent processes in accordance with applicable requirements and delegation.
  • Coordinate participant appointments and ensure study visits are completed within protocol-defined windows.
  • Provide participants with study-related instructions and support throughout their participation.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of participant interactions and study activities.
  • Assist with preparation for sponsor monitoring visits, audits, inspections, and other quality reviews.
  • Ensure study documentation is maintained in accordance with GCP, protocol requirements, and LDDI procedures.
  • Enter and maintain accurate participant data in electronic data capture systems and other study platforms.
  • Respond to data queries within required timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Post-secondary education in health sciences, life sciences, nursing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in clinical research, clinical trials, healthcare, or a related environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable clinical research requirements.
  • Experience with electronic data capture systems and electronic trial management systems is an asset.
  • Experience working with industry-sponsored clinical trials is an asset.
  • Experience in gastroenterology, IBD, endoscopy, or a related clinical area is an asset.
  • Current GCP certification, or willingness to obtain certification, is required.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple studies, competing priorities, and time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with Accuro electronic health record system is highly preferred

LDDI offers the opportunity to work within a specialized clinical and research environment where you can play a meaningful role in advancing gastroenterology research while contributing directly to the participant experience.
