Clinical Outreach & Business Development Associate

  • Home Base: Vancouver, BC

Compensation

  • Base salary: $65,000–$85,000 (depending on experience)
  • Commission: Uncapped, tied directly to referral and partnership growth

BrainStim Health is a physician‑led brain and mind health organization delivering advanced programs for mental health, chronic pain and fatigue, cognitive health, stress and burnout prevention, and performance optimization. Our interdisciplinary model integrates neuromodulation (TMS/dTMS/tDCS), ketamine‑assisted therapy, targeted therapeutics, and lifestyle medicine.

With clinics across BC, Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia and rapid growth in Vancouver and South Surrey, we are expanding our provincial referral network and corporate partnerships. We’re seeking a driven relationship‑builder to lead outreach and business development across British Columbia.

Position Overview

As the Clinical Outreach & Business Development Associate, you will grow BrainStim’s referral pathways and partnership ecosystem across BC. You’ll engage primary care, unions, insurers, employers, and allied health providers to increase access to our mental health, chronic pain, cognitive health, and performance programs.

Your work ensures BrainStim is top‑of‑mind, whether a family physician needs a Depression or PTSD pathway, a union is supporting injured members, or an HR leader is seeking credible burnout prevention solutions.

Key Audiences

  • Primary Care: Family physicians, nurse practitioners, walk‑in clinics, Divisions of Family Practice
  • Unions & Employee Groups: BCTF, BCNU, HSA, first responders, trades, public‑sector unions
  • Professional Associations: Physician, legal, engineering, academic/faculty groups; EFAPs
  • Allied Health & Clinics: Psychiatrists, psychologists, pain clinics, neurologists, rehab and concussion clinics, sleep clinics, addiction medicine, occupational health
  • Insurers & Payers: LTD carriers, extended health administrators, WorkSafeBC‑adjacent stakeholders
  • Corporate Wellness & Performance: HR teams, executive health clinics, coaching firms, gyms, longevity clinics, employers seeking physician‑led wellness programs

What You’ll Do

  • Build and execute a province‑wide outreach and referral growth plan
  • Conduct in‑person clinic visits, lunch‑and‑learns, CME‑style education sessions, and webinars
  • Present to union benefits teams, HR leaders, and professional associations
  • Pitch and close corporate wellness, burnout prevention, and performance program contracts
  • Develop co‑service partnerships with executive health and preventive medicine clinics
  • Maintain structured CRM activity and pipeline management (GoHighLevel)
  • Represent BrainStim at conferences, health fairs, and community events
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate referral criteria and payer pathway communication
  • Work with Marketing on campaigns, collateral, events, and lead conversion
  • Provide market intelligence to leadership on referral barriers, emerging demand, and competitive landscape

QualificationsRequired

  • 5+ years progressive B2B sales or business development experience
  • Minimum 3 years in healthcare (pharma, medical device, clinical liaison, healthcare services, insurer relations)
  • Proven track record building a territory or referral network with measurable results
  • Experience engaging at least one core audience: primary care, unions/benefits teams, insurers, or corporate HR
  • Ability to communicate clinical evidence credibly to physicians and allied health
  • Strong CRM discipline (GoHighLevel, Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health sciences, kinesiology, nursing, or related field
  • Valid BC driver’s licence and reliable vehicle; regular travel across BC

Strong Assets

  • Existing referral network in BC primary care, unions, disability management, or occupational health
  • Experience in mental health, pain management, neurology/rehab, executive health, or corporate wellness
  • Military or first responder background, or experience supporting veteran populations
  • Experience delivering CME/CE‑style education
  • Knowledge of BC payer landscape: MSP, extended health, LTD, WorkSafeBC, VAC

Role Structure & Expectations

  • Full‑time, permanent role based in Vancouver; primarily mobile field work across BC
  • Majority of time spent visiting clinics, unions, employers, and partners
  • Clear 30/60/90‑day onboarding with clinical training
  • Quarterly targets for referral activation, referral volume, and corporate program contracts
  • Reports directly to the CEO; close collaboration with Marketing
