Full job description

About Maple Leaf Disposal

Maple Leaf Disposal is an established, locally owned waste services company headquartered in Langley, BC. We operate across multiple service lines — front end, roll off, fencing, and portable toilets — serving commercial and industrial customers throughout the Lower Mainland and beyond. Our breadth of services means our sales team always has more than one way to solve a customer's problem and more than one way to grow a book of business.

We're a growing company with deep local roots, and we're hiring sales talent to grow with us.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a driven, relationship-oriented sales representative to develop new business and grow existing accounts across our service lines. You'll own your pipeline, build long-term customer relationships, and earn meaningful commission on every contract you bring in. Our commission plan rewards long-term wins and is paid on real, collected revenue — not bookings that never invoice.

This is a true B2B outside sales role. You'll spend time on the road meeting customers at their sites, prospecting new business, and closing deals across multiple service lines.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and pursue commercial and industrial prospects across MLD's service lines (front end, roll off, fencing, portable toilets)
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, cold-calling, and referrals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and grow accounts through service increases and renewals
  • Conduct site visits and discovery conversations to understand customer needs
  • Prepare and deliver tailored proposals and sales presentations
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and service levels to close profitable contracts
  • Work closely with operations, dispatch, and customer service to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer information
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions, and share insights with management

What We're Looking For

  • B2B sales experience — waste management or related industry experience is an asset, but not required for the right candidate
  • Strong communicator who can build rapport quickly with operators, facilities managers, and business owners
  • Self-starter who can manage their own pipeline, schedule, and territory without close supervision
  • Comfortable with prospecting and cold outreach — you don't wait for leads to come to you
  • Negotiation skills and commercial judgment to close profitable deals
  • Valid BC driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
  • Willingness to maintain business-use auto insurance on a reliable personal vehicle
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

What We Offer

  • $65,000 annual base salary, paid semi-monthly
  • Uncapped commission on new contracts, renewals, and service increases — commission rates scale with contract length, so longer terms pay more
  • Vehicle allowance to cover the cost of using your personal vehicle for customer visits
  • 15 paid business days of vacation annually
  • Group benefits plan (medical, dental, and related coverage)
  • Company-supplied cell phone and free parking at our Langley head office
  • Multiple service lines means multiple ways to earn — you're not pigeonholed into selling a single product
  • Established customer base and an experienced operations team behind every deal you close — you won't be starting from zero
  • Locally owned company with real career growth potential as we expand

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Dental care
  • Vision care

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Langley, BC V3A 5E7
