Consolidated Gypsum Supply is a Western Canadian supplier of building materials. We are currently recruiting for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Red Deer.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Drive sales growth and increase volume for assigned accounts within assigned territory.
  • Solicit orders from both current and prospective customers.
  • Proactively seek new customers.
  • Build strong, longterm relationships through regular calls, onsite meetings, and responsive support. Travel is required.
  • Carry out merchandising programs as directed.
  • Identify customer needs, resolve issues, and deliver solutions that drive loyalty.
  • Adhere to company policies and guidelines to achieve sales objectives and maximize profitability.
  • Stay informed about market trends and recommend product additions or adjustments.
  • Contribute to the development of sales forecasts.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records in compliance with company standards.
  • Prepare and submit call and expense reports as required.
  • Recommend new product additions and suggest modifications or discontinuations of existing products.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions and trade shows as required.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • High school diploma, post secondary preferred
  • Previous sales experience, in particular business to business (building materials, an asset)
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent time and territory management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
