Role Summary:

Our Barrie branch is looking for an experienced Sales Representative to join the Fire Alarm Contract Sales team. The main duties of this role are to sell fire alarm contracts and manage these contracts from delivery and execution perspective. The target market are customers in the commercial, industrial, hospitality and healthcare industries.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Focus on sales within an assigned geographic territory and/or assigned customer accounts
• Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and qualified potential customers for contract sales by scheduling sales calls, following up on estimations and quotations and outlined marketing strategies.
• Perform cost breakdowns on all phases of the project and prepare work estimation
• Provide project management on contracts sold according to the site schedule, specifications and sales estimation. Participate in site meetings.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and develop customized solutions and ensure compliance.
• Create proposals for clients and perform follow-up on proposals.
• Maintain high level of client service and quality of work.
• Other duties as required.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• At least five years plus sales experience in the fire protection industry.
• Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or Sales or equivalent education and experience OR a graduate of a technical college
• CFAA certification is an asset
• Proven track record of success in sales, with a focus on fire protection or related industries.
• In-depth knowledge of fire codes, regulations, and standards (NFPA, IFC, etc.).
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex fire protection concepts and solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and positive attitude.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach to achieving targets.
• Strong knowledge of computer based applications (Microsoft Office Suite etc.)
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Qualifications:

• Highschool Diploma or GED
• Ontario “G” drivers’ license in good standing
• Relevant experience, preferably in the life safety industry
• Strong knowledge of PC-based applications (Microsoft Office Suite etc.)

The base salary range for this role is: $60,000 - 80,000 depending on experience
