Canadian Diagnostic Network is a growing medical imaging organization providing high-quality diagnostic services across Ottawa and surrounding communities. Our services include X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, bone mineral density testing, and total body composition scanning. We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care while expanding access to diagnostic imaging services throughout the region. As part of our continued growth strategy, we anticipate opening multiple new clinic locations in the coming years. We are seeking a motivated and relationship-focused professional to help strengthen our connections with healthcare providers and support our continued expansion.

Position Overview

Canadian Diagnostic Network is seeking an energetic and professional Physician Relations Representative to develop and maintain relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, specialists, healthcare clinics, and other referral sources throughout Ottawa and surrounding communities.

The successful candidate will serve as a key representative of the organization, promoting awareness of our services, identifying opportunities for growth, and helping ensure healthcare providers have the information and support they need to confidently refer patients to Canadian Diagnostic Network.

Key Responsibilities

Physician & Healthcare Provider Relations

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with family physicians, specialists, nurse practitioners, and healthcare administrators.
  • Conduct regular visits to physician offices, clinics, and healthcare facilities throughout the region.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for referral-source inquiries and relationship management.
  • Educate healthcare providers on available services, referral processes, clinic locations, and new offerings.

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify opportunities to increase referral volume and strengthen existing referral relationships.
  • Assist in developing strategies to expand market presence and service awareness.
  • Support the promotion of new clinic openings, expanded services, and organizational initiatives.
  • Track outreach activities and provide regular reports on business development efforts.

Marketing & Communication Support

  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to coordinate outreach campaigns and educational initiatives.
  • Distribute marketing materials and physician education resources.
  • Gather feedback from healthcare providers regarding services, referral experiences, and opportunities for improvement.

Community Engagement

  • Represent Canadian Diagnostic Network at community events, healthcare conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with community organizations and healthcare stakeholders.
  • Promote a positive and professional image of the organization throughout the community.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare sales, business development, physician relations, account management, or a related field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout Ottawa and surrounding communities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working within healthcare, medical imaging, diagnostics, pharmaceutical sales, medical devices, or healthcare administration.
  • Existing relationships within the Ottawa healthcare community considered an asset.
  • Experience maintaining client, physician, or referral-source relationships and records. Experience with CRM software is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of physician referral patterns and healthcare operations.

Compensation & Benefits

Canadian Diagnostic Network offers a competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. Performance-based incentives may be available based on business development objectives and organizational growth.
