Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting Ophthalmologists by assisting with patient examinations, accurately documenting clinical findings and treatment plans, maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date medical records, and supporting billing and further administrative processes. This position is essential for enhancing the efficiency of clinical workflows and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • This is an on-site role for a Medical Scribe, located in Ottawa, ON. The Medical Scribe will be responsible for accurately documenting physician-patient encounters, including patient history, physical exam findings, and physician assessments.
  • The role involves real-time data entry into electronic health records, managing medical documentation, and ensuring that all information is captured accurately and efficiently.
  • The candidate will also support healthcare providers by handling clerical tasks that facilitate patient care.

Qualifications

  • Must be an International Medical Graduate (IMG)
  • Experience in ophthalmology or optometry practices
  • Strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in fast paced environments
  • Experience in using EMR systems is a plus
  • Fast typing speed and accuracy (at least 70 WPM)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
