Quality Improvement Decision Support Specialist (QIDSS)

The Fort Frances Family Health Team is looking for a Quality Improvement Decision Support Specialist (QIDSS). QIDSS is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting organizational data to support quality improvement initiatives, including routine reporting requirements and special projects. The QIDSS collaborates with stakeholders to identify trends, monitor outcomes, and develop data-driven recommendations. In addition, the QIDSS identifies and establishes partnerships with rural-focused primary care research teams, supports research and evaluation activities, and serves as the lead for grant applications and funding proposals.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Health Administration, Data Analysis, Public Health, or a similar discipline
  • Experience working with quality improvement, data analysis, reporting, program evaluation, or performance measurement
  • Knowledge of quality improvement practices, accreditation requirements, healthcare regulations, electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and other healthcare platforms
  • Experience using data, reporting, and database software to organize information and create reports
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, leadership, and community partners while maintaining confidentiality
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and privacy requirements
  • Commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement
  • Current driver’s license is an asset
  • Current Criminal Record check
