The Opportunity
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. We pride ourselves on creating a friendly atmosphere for our patients and as a Medical Receptionist you are the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported throughout their visit.

As a Medical Receptionist at MIC, you:
  • will work at various sites throughout Edmonton and surrounding area.
  • work in a team environment.
  • support our wonderful patients and staff.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring all necessary information is collected and accurate
  • Answer phone calls, and respond to inquires
  • Maintain and update patient records accurately and confidentially
  • Walk patients to their exams and change them according to the exam
  • Keep the reception area and change rooms clean and organized
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care
  • Valid driver’s license is an asset
  • Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk program is an asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology is an asset
