Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a welcoming demeanor, and a strong understanding of dental office operations. As a Dental Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient inquiries, and administrative tasks with efficiency and care. This role is vital in ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering a positive patient experience. If qualified, you will also be able to assist with managing the sterilization protocols of the clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression.
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using Tracker dental practice management software.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to handle patient inquiries, appointment requests, and general questions effectively.
  • Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history, utilizing electronic medical records systems.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Assist with billing procedures, insurance claims processing, and payment collection with confidence and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily workflow and patient care.
  • Handle other administrative duties such as filing, emailing, and managing office supplies to ensure an organized workspace.

Experience

  • Prior experience working as a dental receptionist.
  • Proficiency with Tracker dental practice management software is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care.
  • Demonstrated experience managing electronic medical records efficiently and securely.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members across diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently while maintaining composure in busy settings.
  • Previous administrative experience in healthcare.
