Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental practice. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
  • Manage phone systems to answer calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix.
  • Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries.
  • Ensure that the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the office.
  • Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as needed to support the dental team.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office is preferred.
  • Familiarity with phone systems, appointment scheduling, and front desk operations is essential.
  • Knowledge of dental software such as Dentrix is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required for maintaining patient records accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding customer service.
