Patient Care Coordinator

Port Elgin Audiology | Port Elgin, Ontario

Port Elgin Audiology is looking for a warm, organized and dependable Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing outstanding service and wants a meaningful role in a professional, patient-focused clinic.

As the first point of contact for our patients, the Patient Care Coordinator plays an important role in creating a welcoming, organized and positive clinic experience. The successful candidate will be confident communicating with patients, able to manage multiple priorities and committed to providing exceptional service.

About the Role

This position is more than answering phones and booking appointments. You will help guide patients through their experience with our clinic, coordinate appointments and services, communicate with families and other healthcare offices, and support our providers with the day-to-day operation of the clinic.

You will become a trusted and familiar point of contact for many of our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and create a warm, welcoming clinic experience
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Schedule, confirm and coordinate appointments
  • Manage provider schedules and support efficient clinic flow
  • Maintain accurate electronic patient records
  • Process payments and issue receipts
  • Assist with third-party billing and funding documentation
  • Coordinate referrals and patient follow-up
  • Communicate with hearing aid manufacturers and healthcare offices
  • Coordinate product orders, repairs and warranties
  • Assist with inventory, supplies and general clinic organization
  • Provide administrative support to clinic providers

Previous experience in a customer-facing or administrative role is an asset. We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including professional services, hospitality, retail and healthcare. Experience in an audiology or medical office is helpful but not required.
