Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Office Assistant (Part-time) to join our healthcare team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in supporting patient care and contributing to a well-organized medical practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family physician office experience, patient care, and familiarity with medical terminology. Duties

  • Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
  • Prepare and update patient records accurately using electronic health record systems
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks
  • Provide patient care support by answering questions and providing instructions as needed
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the medical office environment
  • Handle administrative duties such as patient correspondence and invoicing
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Requirements

  • Prior hospital or clinical experience is highly preferred
  • Prior experience with Accuro EMR preferred
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
  • Experience with patient care activities and basic medication administration is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interactions
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility during clinic hours
  • Certification or training related to healthcare support is a plus but not mandatory

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
