Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Administrator/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing administrative operations seamlessly. Your energetic approach will help facilitate smooth clinic workflows, coordinate appointments, and maintain accurate medical records. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through efficient front desk management and administrative support.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression of the practice
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls efficiently
  • Verify patient information and update electronic medical records using Accuro or similar electronic health record systems
  • Prepare and organize patient charts, ensuring all documentation complies with privacy regulations
  • Schedule appointments accurately within Accuro EMR software, coordinating with clinical staff
  • Handle billing procedures and payment processing with precision
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring all office supplies are stocked and equipment is functioning properly

Skills

  • Proficiency in Accuro electronic medical records system and Quickbooks software
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology for effective communication
  • Experience as a medical receptionist or in a doctor's office setting is highly preferred
  • Prior experience working in a medical office environment with administrative responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
  • Skilled in operating multi-line phone systems and handling high-volume inbound calls
  • Demonstrated professionalism in managing sensitive patient information while adhering to confidentiality standards
