All of this can be achieved while having the opportunity to build a stable and rewarding career that meets your full potential.
We are seeking a high-performing, people-oriented communicator to join our medical clinic team as a Clinical Patient Advisor. In this role, you will act as a trusted point of contact for prospective patients who have completed a consultation for a vision correction procedure (LASIK or IOL surgery), helping them navigate to a confident decision.
The wage range for this role is between $23.22-$30.18/hr and we currently have one vacant position.
A look at your benefits
  • A temporary, full-time position (32 to 40 hours per week)
  • Free LASIK surgery, three weeks of vacation, three sick days, one floater day, and one wellness day
  • Group insurance plan, telemedicine services, group RRSP with an employer contribution, and a structured incentive bonus
  • Ongoing training focused on a consultative approach to clinical care and services for patients
Your tasks at a glance
  • Support patients throughout their journey and play a key role in their decision-making process, while contributing to the clinic’s growth.
  • Meet with prospective patients immediately following their pre-operative assessment
  • Serve as a bridge between clinical expertise and personal decision-making, translating medical information into clear, personalized value.
  • Clarifying information they received from the medical team
  • Helping patients navigate their decision with clarity, compassion, and confidence
  • Clearly and transparently present vision correction options, benefits, and financial aspects
  • Guide patients through pricing options and payment methods
  • Adapt your communication approach to match each patient’s mindset, concerns, and motivations
  • Book surgery dates and coordinate logistics
  • Maintain accurate records in the patient file and follow compliance standards
  • Maintain a high rate of patient follow-through to treatment using trust-building strategies and proactive, personalized follow-ups
  • Record short, personalized video messages, voice messages or calls to patients as reminders, or warm touchpoints to improve treatment follow-through, as required
A clear view of your assets
  • You are warm, poised, and engaging, and people trust you easily
  • You understand how to guide someone from hesitation to clarity, through presence and insight
  • You are highly articulate and have experience in high-touch roles such as client services, health care, aesthetics, hospitality, or coaching
  • You understand timing and verbal pacing. You know when to reassure, when to listen, and when to help someone make the next move
  • You’re comfortable discussing pricing with discretion and professionalism
  • You’re detail-oriented and organized. Someone who can juggle multiple files while staying focused
  • You are results-oriented and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • At least two years of experience in consultative sales, client development, or any results-driven role is considered an asset.
  • Required: You can travel for work/training between our three LASIK MD clinics in the region: Ottawa, Ottawa West & Gatineau.
  • Required: You have excellent communication skills, you speak English et français également (advanced intermediate level of French required due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with our French-speaking patients).
  • Schedule: You have flexible work availability Monday to Friday (8:00 am-5:00 pm), with availability to work occasional Saturdays.
