Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Administrator to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, ensuring smooth office operations, and providing exceptional support to both patients and staff. This role requires a professional with strong office experience, familiarity with dental and medical terminology, and proficiency in dental software systems. The Dental Administrator plays a vital role in maintaining efficient workflows and delivering excellent patient service, in a dynamic environment where professionalism and compassion are paramount.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and manage front desk operations with professionalism and courtesy
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using a dental software
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to handle inquiries, appointment requests, and patient communications
  • Maintain accurate patient records within electronic medical records system (OpenDental)
  • Verify insurance information and process billing and payments efficiently
  • Assist with new patient intake, including collecting medical history and updating records
  • Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations and patient flow
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or Dental Office Administrator with at least 1 year dental office experience
  • Proficiency in dental software systems such as OpenDental is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills for front desk interactions
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the dental team

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
