Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
• Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate digital radiography and other diagnostic imaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Apply appropriate radiation protection and safety practices for patients, colleagues, and yourself.
• Assess image quality and ensure accurate documentation of completed examinations.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide compassionate, professional care.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain imaging equipment and report technical issues as required.
• Follow applicable regulatory, infection prevention, and patient confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology or Radiologic Technology program.
• Current or eligible certification/licensure through CAMRT, ARRT, or the applicable provincial/state regulatory body.
• Experience in general radiography preferred.
• Knowledge of digital imaging systems, PACS, and radiographic positioning techniques.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety principles.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both independent and team-based environments.
• Current BLS certification where required.
