Overview
We are seeking a dedicated , experienced and skilled IMG Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team @Bronte, Oakville walk in and health centre.

3 days a week, in a family physician office, Brampton on Tuesdays,,Wednesdays and Saturdays,.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in acute care settings. This role involves working closely with physicians to provide high-quality medical care, conduct research, and manage patient treatment plans. Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Cerner are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to inform patient care decisions.
  • Phlebotomize patients as needed for laboratory testing.
  • Collect and analyze data related to patient outcomes and treatment efficacy.
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems, including Cerner.
  • Participate in pain management strategies for patients requiring specialized care.
  • Engage in ongoing research initiatives to improve patient care practices within the hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical practices relevant to patient care.
  • Experience in an acute care environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with data collection methods and research practices is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on patient interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
