Full job description

Winterberry Family Medicine is a progressive, physician-led, multidisciplinary healthcare organization committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment. As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking 2–3 Physician Assistants to join our dynamic clinical team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Mental Health Counsellors, Physiotherapists, and an experienced administrative and leadership team dedicated to providing outstanding patient care.

What You'll Do

As a Physician Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting our physicians and enhancing access to timely, high-quality primary care. Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and histories.
  • Perform physical examinations.
  • Develop differential diagnoses and management plans under physician supervision.
  • Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
  • Assist with chronic disease management and preventative health care.
  • Provide patient education and counselling.
  • Perform office-based procedures within your scope of practice.
  • Document thoroughly within our electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.

What We're Looking For

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Eligible for certification with the appropriate Canadian regulatory body.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Passion for providing compassionate, patient-centred care.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in primary care is considered an asset, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
