Be part of a stable, growing medical industry that helps people.

We are looking for new members to join our team and have a direct role in assembling innovative and unique medical devices including oxygen masks, scalpel blades, and face shields.

What We Offer

  • Full-Time Hours – We hire directly into 40 hour/week, full-time roles; no fixed-term contracts! We also have overtime opportunities available on a regular basis – all voluntary!
  • Shift Options – We hire across 3 different shifts and we don’t rotate shifts to better support our employee’s work/life balance.
    • Days – 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
    • Afternoons – 3:00pm-11:30pm, Monday to Friday
    • Midnights – 11:00pm – 7:30am, Sunday to Thursday
  • Hourly Rate – $18.45 -$19.45. Starting base rate is $18.45 with shift premiums for our Afternoon ($0.50) & Midnight ($1.00) shifts. Our wage grid has regular increases based on service time starting as soon as 6 months.
  • Time Off – You are eligible for paid vacation time after 3 months of service! We want you to have the time off to rest, recharge and do the things you enjoy outside of work.
  • Retirement Program – You are eligible to join on Day 1, and Southmedic will match your RRSP contributions! Let us help you save for your future.
  • Benefits - Our group benefit plan covers medical, dental, vision, and other health needs, including our employee assistance program and is available after 6 months of service time.

What We Need

  • High levels of accountability, passion and commitment towards your work, each and every day.
  • Strong English communication skills to support comprehension of work instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Supporter of a diverse, inclusive, and open-minded workplace culture.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or other fast-paced work environments.
