We are seeking a driven individual to oversee the operations of our Spin Test Facility where we conduct cyclic fatigue and special tests on rotor test specimens.
Areas of Expertise: Provides technical/operational support to the Experimental Rigs team. Provides turn-key validation vehicles to the analytical community. Develops strategies to assess and monitor the quality of the data produced by their vehicle. Develops new procedures, techniques and/or equipment to meet component and system level testing objectives. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
The position is based at our Mississauga location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.
What will your day-to-day look like?

Managing short term and long term commitments, test scheduling and prioritization amongst competing customers
-
Planning and supporting hardware modifications and instrumentation as required to prepare hardware for assembly based on Request for Test requirements
-
Overseeing assembly of spin test articles, assuring that assembly specifications meet drawing requirements
-
Documenting and navigating approval process for any deviations
-
Configuring spin test rig systems to conduct the prescribed cyclic fatigue or special test mission
-
Day to day troubleshooting of equipment and instrumentation to ensure data quality and efficient rig utilization

Ensuring all interim and post test inspections are carried out in accordance with test requirements

Documenting results

Working with Measurement and Instrumentation Engineering specialists to develop new technologies and processes

Recommending and leading major equipment upgrades and process improvement initiatives to increase capability or capacity as per customer needs
What do you need to be successful?

Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or Technical Diploma with a minimum of 8 years of experience.

An extensive knowledge of mechanical drafting, physics, instrumentation, data acquisition systems and/or control systems.

Must demonstrate leadership, be organized and dynamic

Have good spoken and written communication skills.

The salary range for this role is 101,500 CAD - 151,500 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. RTX offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage, disability benefits, a retirement savings program, and tuition assistance through RTX’s Employee Scholar Program. Eligibility for specific benefits is based on factors such as position level, employment type (e.g., temporary or permanent), and business unit, and will be discussed during the hiring process.
