Full job description

South Slope Pharmacy has an opportunity for a part-time (approximately 25 hours per week, which will eventually become a full-time position) Pharmacy Assistant to join our growing team. As an independent pharmacy located within the growing South Slope area, we pride ourselves in delivering patient-centered care

Job Description

  • Assist pharmacist in accurately preparing prescriptions
  • Entering and processing prescriptions through KrollRx
  • Perform all task related to ordering, receiving and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections
  • Operate Point-of-sale system
  • Compounding prescriptions
  • Preparing Compliance Packages
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Adhere to Confidentiality and privacy requirements
  • Assist in front-store

Skills and Expectations

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Proactive
  • To work proactively, able to problem solve and prioritize tasks
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Adaptable and fast learner
  • Six months or more experience as a pharmacy assistant
  • Must be proficient with Kroll Rx
  • Able to work independently and perform all pharmacy tasks
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Fluency in Mandarin would be an asset
  • Canadian Pharmacy Experience preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
