Full job description

Pay: $350,000–$600,000+ per year (100% retention of OHIP billings; volume-dependent)

Overview

Sunny Health Medical Clinic is an established, high-volume family practice and walk-in clinic with two GTA locations (Toronto and Scarborough), serving a large, loyal, multicultural patient community — many Mandarin- and Cantonese-speaking families seeking a long-term family doctor. We have more patient demand than physician capacity and an existing roster of regular patients ready to be enrolled from day one.

We are hiring Family Physicians in a flexible capacity — full-time, part-time, FHG, or walk-in shifts — under a compensation structure that is, to our knowledge, unmatched in the GTA: you keep 100% of your OHIP billings. Zero overhead split on government billings.

The Opportunity

  • Keep 100% of your OHIP billings — not 83%, not 80%. 100%.
  • Family Health Group (FHG) enrollment: earn the FHG Comprehensive Care premium on eligible enrolled-patient billings — +15% today, rising to +20% in April 2027 — plus preventive care bonuses (up to $12,800/yr), chronic disease incentives, after-hours premiums, and new-patient fees.
  • Existing roster available — inherit regular patients immediately instead of building from zero.
  • Set your own volume and schedule — be as busy as you want. FT, PT, and walk-in-only all welcome.
  • Experienced support team that maximizes your efficiency — on-site nurse preps and rooms patients ahead of you; seasoned staff handle booking, referrals, report tracking, and follow-ups. Your time goes to seeing patients, nothing else.
  • Full billing support included — claims submitted and reconciled for you.
  • Set your own volume and schedule — be as busy as you want. FT, PT, and walk-in-only all welcome.

Duties

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients.
  • Diagnose, treat, prescribe, and manage medications within full scope of family practice
  • Deliver chronic disease management and preventive care (screening, immunization) to enrolled patients
  • Educate patients on chronic disease management and preventive health strategies
  • Collaborate with our on-site nurse and clinic team; refer to specialists as appropriate
  • For FHG physicians: participate in the shared after-hours schedule (one 3-hour evening block per week)

Qualifications

  • CPSO licence for independent practice; eligible to bill OHIP
  • Degree in medicine from an accredited institution
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centred approach
  • New graduates and internationally trained physicians with independent CPSO licences are welcome and encouraged to apply
  • Mandarin or Cantonese an asset, not required — our staff interpret

What We Provide (all included, at no cost to you)

  • Full administrative and billing support — claims submitted for you
  • Nurse on site supporting clinic flow
  • Reception, booking, referrals, and results management handled by staff
  • Fully equipped exam rooms across two locations
  • Established volume from day one
