Full job description

Petrolia Dentistry - Dr. Michael Hoben & Dr. Rebecca Phillips.

Part time position available Monday to Friday, approximately 20-24 hours per week.

Ideal candidates should have dental or medical reception experience with excellent communication and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to provide exceptional patient service in a busy dental office environment.

Our dental practice management software is Dentrix. We are willing to train candidates that are not familiar with this software.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
  • Manage patient records and maintain accurate information
  • Process payments and assist with dental insurance claims and billing
  • Submit and follow up on insurance pre-determinations and claims
  • Coordinate treatment appointments and recall schedules
  • Communicate effectively with patients, dentists, hygienists, and other team members
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable privacy requirements
  • Assist with general administrative and reception duties as required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area

Qualifications:

  • Previous dental reception or dental administrative experience is preferred
  • Experience with dental practice management software is an asset
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance, and billing is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
  • Professional, dependable, and patient-focused
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
  • Current CPR certification is preferred.
