Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team during evening hours. This vital role involves managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth front desk operations in a fast-paced medical environment. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and efficiently, check them in and out using electronic medical records systems such as Accuro and Jane
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and direct calls appropriately
  • Verify patient information, update records, and ensure accuracy in electronic medical records (EMRs)
  • Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing appointment calendars
  • Assist with billing processes, insurance verifications, and collecting payments as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote a professional environment
  • Support the paramedical team with general office duties to ensure seamless daily operations
  • Light housekeeping duties, as required (sidewalk care in the winter, laundry, garbage removal at end of shift)
  • Ability to identify tasks that require completion and self-motivation to address without instruction

Experience

  • Prior experience as a receptionist in a medical office setting is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and administrative procedures in healthcare environments
  • Proven ability to handle phone systems efficiently while providing excellent customer service
  • Previous experience working with dental or medical office software and managing front desk responsibilities
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in busy office settings
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers

Hours

  • Monday-Thursday 1:30pm-8pm
  • Saturdays (2-3 per month) 8:30am-2:30pm

This position can be split between two people, one working evenings, one for Saturdays

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 31.0 per week
