Patient Care Coordinator – Red Deer, Alberta
Avant Respiratory provides clinical consultation, diagnostic services, and treatment for a wide range of sleep disorders, helping patients across Canada sleep better and live better. We're growing, and we're looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our Red Deer team.

What You’ll Do
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you'll be an important part of our patients' care journey while helping ensure our clinic operates efficiently each day.
Responsibilities include:

  • Welcome patients, assist with purchases, book appointments, and answer general therapy inquiries
  • Answer phones and faxes, distribute correspondence, and support general office operations
  • Manage incoming referrals and maintain accurate patient documentation within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Make re-supply calls to existing patients and support ongoing patient relationships
  • Process payments, assist with purchases, and support inventory management
  • Submit and manage Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) funding applications for multiple offices
  • Bill private insurance companies and government agencies while maintaining accurate payment records
  • Follow up on outstanding balances and support accounts receivable
  • Assist with initial home oxygen set-ups, including equipment preparation and patient education
  • Assist with CPAP set-ups, patient education, and troubleshooting therapy equipment and supplies
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources
  • Support social media initiatives, patient experience programs, and clinic marketing materials
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as required

What We’re Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and thrives in a busy environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; college degree in administration or equivalent is an asset
  • Previous experience in customer service, administration, reception, healthcare, or another patient-facing role is considered an asset
  • AADL billing experience and familiarity with their online system is preferred
  • Healthcare licensing (RN/RPN) is a plus — but not required; we welcome all applicants
  • Sales support or merchandising experience is considered an asset
  • Professional, friendly manner with strong customer service values
  • Excellent organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new software systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Comfortable lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs
