Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in the smooth operation of our medical office by providing administrative support and excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using MedAccess EMR
  • Prepare and organize patient charts, documentation, and other administrative paperwork
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and rescheduling as needed to optimize clinic flow
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient flow
  • Support the clinical staff by managing correspondence, reminders, and follow-up communications
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, managing office supplies, and other tasks as assigned

Experience

  • Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as MedAccess is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare administrative procedures
  • Office experience in a fast-paced environment demonstrating excellent organizational skills
  • Experience managing multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
  • Previous roles involving administrative responsibilities in medical practices will be advantageous

This position requires a professional who is detail-oriented, personable, and capable of multitasking efficiently within a busy healthcare setting. Candidates should be committed to providing outstanding patient service while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and accuracy.

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
