Full job description

Medical Arts Centre is seeking a professional, organized, and compassionate Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to support our busy family practice and Urgent & Primary Care Centre in Nanaimo, BC. The MOA is responsible for providing front-line administrative support including patient reception, appointment scheduling, phone communication, EMR management, faxing/scanning, physician billing support, and coordination with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacies, specialists, and other healthcare providers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Strong communication, multitasking, organizational, and computer skills are essential. Experience working in a medical office and familiarity with Intrahealth Profile EMR, including billing functions, would be considered a strong asset.

Pay: $24.00 per hour
