Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support within a busy medical or dental office, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior experience in medical settings to utilize their skills in a professional environment. The position involves managing patient interactions, maintaining electronic medical records, and supporting clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, creating a welcoming environment
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages efficiently
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, verifying patient information and updating records as needed
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records using ACCURO with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Prepare patient charts and documentation for appointments, procedures, or billing purposes
  • Support administrative tasks including filing, faxing, scanning, and managing office supplies

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred, especially with electronic medical records systems such as ACCURO.
  • Proven office experience with proficiency in front desk operations and administrative tasks
  • Experience handling multi-line phone systems efficiently and professionally
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and data entry
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, providers, and staff
