Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional front desk support, managing patient records, and ensuring smooth office operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical or dental office settings, proficiency with electronic medical records, and strong communication skills to handle multi-line phone systems. Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
  • Verify insurance information and process billing using Dentrix and other practice management software
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records using Epic and other systems
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and assist with patient inquiries
  • Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely patient care delivery
  • Manage administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
  • Support daily office operations to promote a welcoming and organized environment

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Assistant preferred
  • Familiarity with and electronic medical records systems essential
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
  • Office experience in a fast-paced environment required
  • Proven ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently
  • Prior experience working in a dental or medical office setting is highly desirable
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
