Full job description

We are seeking a motivated, hard working, organized front desk administrator to join our team. This is a full time position with a set schedule working at our two Clinic Locations in Fort McMurray (Syncrude Sport & Wellness Center and Millennium Drive). This position is 40 hours/week including mornings and afternoons with hours between 8:00 am - 10:00 pm. This position is fast paced and requires a lot of multitasking and attention to detail. Responsibilities and Duties

Main duties include:

  • Greet clients, check them in, and notify practitioner of patient's arrival;
  • Provide information by phone and in person of services offered;
  • Maintain confidential patient files by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information;
  • Schedule appointments using computer software systems, receive and record payment for services, bill insurance companies on behalf of patients;
  • Receive and process payments, produce invoices, issue receipts;
  • Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information;
  • Entering data;
  • Answering and forwarding telephone calls;
  • Accurately recording and relaying information;
  • Operate general office equipment such as: computers, printers, scanners, telephone, and fax.

Additional duties include:

  • Bringing in and setting up patients for Physical Therapists;
  • Operate Physical Therapy equipment such as TENS, Ultrasound, IFC Machine, etc.;
  • Creating exercise programs using SimpleSet as requested by the Physical Therapists;
  • Laundry, organizing, cleaning beds;
  • Cleaning is completed on a weekly basis and involves moving beds, chairs, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and cleaning clinic equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

Skills required:

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a very fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work with little supervision;
  • Ability to work alone and as a part of a team;
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems with office equipment;
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Employment requirements:

  • Completion of high school;
  • Certificate/diploma in the office administration field is considered an asset;
  • Previous direct billing to insurance companies is considered a major asset;
  • Previous work experience in a medical office is considered an asset;
  • Flexibility and availability.
