Qualifications We Seek:

  • Requirements include multi tasking, 60 wpm, strong anatomy knowledge, strong patient care, ability to handle a busy environment

  • Relevant training or experience as a Medical Office Assistant
  • A desire to learn new technologies plus savvy computer skills

  • Self-motivated to balance and organize a number of responsibilities in a fast-paced medical environment, while ensuring attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency

Core Responsibilities and Job Duties are described below. Job Duties may change as per the clinic needs and as required by the Managing Director and/or Clinic Manager.

  • Maintaining a professional presence and providing excellent patient care.
  • Patient check in and patient bookings
  • Assisting patients, technicians, sonographers, radiologists, and other team members with varying tasks to ensure the smooth running of the clinic, such as complete patient registrations, appointment bookings/rebooking’s, cancellations, equipment cleaning/autoclaving, cleaning patient rooms and other necessary duties.
  • Booking all Diagnostic Imaging, Breast Imaging, Bone Densitometry, and Ultrasound appointments, Pain Management, etc.
  • Completing tasks for all modalities and services diligently and accurately, which include Bookings, Re-Bookings, Appointment Reminders, Follow Ups, Requisition Intake etc.
  • Prioritizing and completing tasks according to urgency.
  • Accurate data entry into EMR system of patient demographics in accordance with clinic processes.
  • Answering all incoming calls and re-direct when necessary.
  • Requesting previous examinations and/or reports.
  • Notifying the appropriate department of patient arrival.
  • Escorting patients to the appropriate examination area and providing changing instructions.
  • Assisting with ultrasound inventory levels. Maintaining adequate office inventory.
  • Maintaining the utmost in patient confidentiality.
  • Assisting in the orientation and training of new staff.
  • Conducting oneself in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the reception waiting room and the reception desk.
  • Ensuring all required questions are asked to determine the examination to be booked.
  • Responsible for understanding all clinical processes and utilizing resources (such as manuals) as required.
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
