Alberta Sports Vision is looking for a full-time Medical Receptionist / Optometric Assistant to join our growing practice. As a locally owned independent optometry clinic, we are committed to providing outstanding eye care while building lasting relationships with our patients and community. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to exceptional service, teamwork, and continuous learning. Experience in optometry, healthcare, or reception is considered an asset, but it is not required. We provide comprehensive in-office training and are excited to help the right candidate develop new skills and grow within our practice.

Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting patients and creating a welcoming experience
  • Answering phones and responding to patient inquiries
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Collecting and updating patient health information
  • Performing preliminary testing prior to eye examinations
  • Assisting doctors with clinical testing and patient flow
  • Processing payments and billing insurance claims
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
  • Assisting with frame selection and eyewear recommendations when appropriate
  • Helping maintain an organized, efficient, and professional clinic environment
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities

Schedule
Full-time position. Clinic hours may include occasional evenings and Saturdays.
