Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Administrator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and maintaining accurate medical records. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with electronic medical records, and familiarity with dental and medical office procedures. The Medical Office Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering exceptional patient service.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner at the front desk
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
  • Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments accordingly
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for patients
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely appointment scheduling and follow-up
  • Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and office policies
  • Support clinical staff with administrative duties as needed to facilitate efficient workflow

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Administrator is highly preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Experience working with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Office experience in a healthcare setting is desirable
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
