Job description

We are a busy medical clinic looking for a Full-time Medical Office Assistant for our specialists office. We are looking for a compassionate, organized, and self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is committed to providing excellent patient care.

The successful candidate will be a team player with strong communication and organizational skills who is able to multitask while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Position: Full-Time Medical Office Assistant

Duties (include, but not limited to):

  • Responding to incoming patient phone calls and inquiries
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Contacting patients regarding upcoming tests and appointments
  • Completing administrative tasks assigned by the physicians
  • Assigning incoming faxes to the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Measuring and recording patient vital signs
  • Performing ECGs (training provided)
  • Applying and managing Holter monitors (training provided)
  • Providing general administrative and clinical support within the office

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum one year of experience working as a Medical Office Assistant in a medical office
  • Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program is an asset but not required with relevant experience
  • Experience with OSCAR EMR is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Friendly, professional, and compassionate when interacting with patients
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
